The remains of the Southern wallThis is the second oldest fort built by the Dutch in Tainan around 300 over years ago. The place is very clean and well maintained. The highlights are the remains of the original Southern wall of the fort, a historical museum, a statue of Goxinga and a look out tower on top of a small hill. The back part of the fort has a shady garden, which is nice to relax and cool down from the heat. The lookout tower is about 5 storey high and offers a great view of the surrounding area. The climb up was rather tiring. 1-1.5 hour should be sufficient for the visit here. It is located in between Anping old street and the Anping tree house
Interesting but nothing muchAn old military base now a museum. Interesting how the geography of this place has changed so drastically but nothing much to see.

Symbol of AnpingThis is the site of an ancient foot, which Hollanders built. Unfortunately, the observatory is a modern construction. But it is a symbol of Anping, and without visiting it, you cannot say you were in Anping.
