An excellent place for retreat! As an urban dweller, I personally adore this brilliant place! It is located away from the urban area, so you'll get to enjoy some close contact with nature, cooling fresh air, farm animals, flora and fauna. The room is basically a wooden cabin, with basic amenities e.g. toilet, television, air-con, kettle, etc included, i.e. basic items that you will see in simple hotels. Overall the environment is clean, tidy and without any odor. I wasn't 'attacked' by any mosquitos during the stay despite in a forested area. There is a cafeteria and my dinner is pretty simple, which I like it. There are animals, some of them are within the fence, while some are in the wild. Since this place is away from the city area, one aspect I am concerned about is the lack of medical facilities. I was told by my tour guide, if you need to reach to some medical facilities, you may need to travel for an hour or so. You may like to prepare some entertainment for your kids if they get bored easily since this place is really far away from a shopping arcade. I will deem this place to be an awesome place for a retreat and/or a 'classroom' to study botany. Highly recommended!
Not worth the tripWe booked the lychee tour and lunch. The lunch is pretty tasteless though the service is good. Probably we are not too used to such bland food and the sour olive soup. The lychee pick your own starts off well with the guide explaining the history and type of lychee but we are very disappointed that there are only so few trees we can pluck the lychee and the lychee are so small. The tree in the photo is probably the considered the best one with visible bunches of lychee for us to pluck! And we are told they are only open one week ago for pluck your own . Each of us are given one small bags and 6 of us cannot even fill up 2 bags and the guide is like rushing us to be done ! Not worth making an hour trip from Tainan central to this farm.

Remote Stay..Before gone into the stay.. our tour group had an experience picking oranges at their plantation and ate them on the spot. However it was quite risky for older folks as the oranges trees were planted on slopes.... great fun there. .. Later we had dinner at their restaurant... hei.. the dishes were amazingly good.. that's i really delighted... Then heading to our chalets.. all are wooden chalets.....wood all the way from floor, wall, ceiling.. of course except bathroom.. there were huge ants in our room.. well it is in the mid of forest... we expect more insects ☺ Cleanliness is fine... however one big huge issue... mobile signal was dead and their WIFI coverage was suck in the chalets... everybody complained about it... the only strong WIFI signal was at the restaurant...sigh.. The night view at the row of chalets was billiant.. later we had fun making dessert with the guidance of their staff.. great fun.. and we ate them as well.. later a piggy joined us which we all amazed by it 😂 The next day morning, wow the view was magnificent looking at those forest. .. really a nice place to get mountain fresh air... cool view.. we just love it. Their breakfast was simple .... but heck.. the view was important there ☺. ..
Reach hotel @ 8.30pmWe came during off peak with no fruit plugging season. We arrived late @ 8.30pm with GPS and gut as it was dark during mid autumn time. I booked 1 twin sharing cottage and 1 quad sharing cottage, both are 100m away. My parent would be staying in twin sharing cottage. However, a quad sharing cottage next to us was empty and in fact all cottages were empty on the day of our arrival (with big spiders staying at their nets comfortably). Due to safety reason (uneven and slippery ground), we request upgrading for my parent to the quad sharing cottage which was next to us. This was refused with some lame excuses by the staff. Since then we finally able to settle with the staff/management, all my family members (2 young children, 2 adults and 2 elderly parent) squeezed in a quad sharing cottage at no cost. The staff/management will provide additional mattresses and pillows. On the other hand, the another cottage I proposed to give to our driver at no cost as it may be difficult for him to come back again next morning to pick us. This was rejected and the management/staff asking for additional TWD1,000. I told the staff I paid for 6 adults full cost, but this was not acceptable because agoda price was the best price I have paid for. Long arguments.
