The “Tainan-Thailand” non-stop charter flights organized by Tainan last year (2024) proved popular with tourists and achieved an average load factor over 90%. According to Mayor Huang Wei-Che, last year’s “Tainan-Thailand” non-stop charter flights were very popular and boosted cultural exchanges between the people of both countries. Tainan is continuing to optimize its friendly international tourism environment so that international visitors can not only enjoy the many tourism resources of Tainan but also receive high-quality travel reception services. The travel industry is organizing charter flights to and from Thailand again due to the enthusiastic response last year. It is hoped that Thai travelers will visit Tainan on the charter flights, tour Tainan’s many sights and enjoy its street food.

Director-General Lin Kuo-hua of the Tourism Bureau said that travel to Tainan has been trending in Taiwan in recent years. The travel industry has also introduced related itineraries. The Tourism Bureau is ready to receive visitors from different countries. Initiatives such as the training of New Southbound tour guides and foreign language empowerment programs for tourist drivers will no doubt ensure a great time for all international visitors to Tainan.

The Tourism Bureau indicated that in addition to welcoming Thai travelers to Tainan, Taiwanese nationals also have two choices for departure dates. These are April 12 (Thailand’s Water Festival) and April 19 (National High School Games holiday). People can contact leading travel agencies in Tainan City to plan their preferred date and itinerary.
