Singaporean YouTuber HongIsBored Gives Thumbs Up to Tainan’s Dongshan Coffee Route for Revealing the Beauty of Natural Agriculture

Tainan partnered with Singaporean YouTuber HongIsBored to promote the local sights and specialties of Dongshan District. Hung was also invited to tour the “Dongshan 175 Coffee Road for himself to explore the Dongshan Coffee Route, Dongyuan Old Street, Fairy Lake Leisure Farm and other local sights. By presenting the unique charms of natural agriculture in Tainan in an all new format, Hung showed Singapore tourists that the “Dongshan 175 Coffee Road” in Tainan offers not just a relaxing experience but is a great place to explore traditional culture and good food. According to Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che, “Dongshan 175 Coffee Road” is lined with specialty coffee houses. These mountain coffee houses all have their own character and people travel a long way for a cup of barista-brewed coffee. The Fairy Lake Leisure Farm in Dongshan District boasts the most beautiful mountain and river views in Taiwan. For nature-loving Singaporean tourists and travelers, an idyllic stroll through the farm or trying all the fresh, local organic agricultural products all offer a rare opportunity to relax and enjoy a soul spa. Inviting Singaporean YouTuber HongIsBored to introduce Tainan’s Dongshan Coffee Route in his distinctive style will undoubtedly attract more international visitors with a hankering for good coffee and leave them with rich, delicious-smelling memories!

Director-General Lin Kuo-hua from the Tainan City Government Tourism Bureau said that the latest video on the Tainan's local features starts at Fairy Lake Leisure Farm. The refreshing mountain atmosphere filled with birdsong made Hung exclaim: “This is life! I want to stay here!” Next, they visited the “Dongshan 175 Coffee Road” for an in-depth tour of coffee growing and production, and to try the premium local coffee. Their next stop was Dongyuan Old Street where Hong sampled Dongshan’s traditional noodles, rice noodles, and Longan herbal tea. After a day of exploring Dongshan, Hung returned to downtown Tainan to go shopping for souvenirs made from local agricultural produce at the Hayashi Department Store and dine at a specialty vegetarian restaurant in a historic house in Tainan’s side streets. According to Hung, Tainan truly lives up to its reputation as a foodie capital because even its vegetarian cuisine was exceptional.

The Tourism Bureau said that people wanting to visit the Dongshan 175 Coffee Road can take advantage of Taiwan Tourist Shuttle's Dongshan Route offering 7 return services a day (14 in total). From Xinying Railway Station, take the Yellow Line to Baihe Station then catch the Yellow 12 and Yellow 13 bus services to Lingding Park Stop; alternatively, take the High Speed Railway to Chiayi Station then catch the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Guanziling Route to Lingding Park. From there, transfer to the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Dongshan Coffee Route to enjoy the coffee on 175 Coffee Road. Additionally, electronic ticket holders (iPass, EasyCard, iCash) are eligible for a 50% discount on Taiwan Tourist Shuttle’s Dongshan Coffee Route.
