In the little forest, the orange and yellow Torii gates (鳥居) are very eye-catching in a neat row under the shade of the trees. Pass through the Torii gates and into the shade of the forest. To the right is a neat lawn, nice and cool thanks to the cover of the large trees. The shadow of the trees is cast onto the green grass like a tattoo, painting a vivid scene. Next to the forest is the Tsung-Yeh Arts and Cultural Center (總爺藝文中心), its red building standing beautifully against the blue sky. The wooden building of the Tsung-Ye Chief Dormitory (總爺廠長宿舍) is also very well preserved in typical Japanese style, a great place to photograph the scenery. Many buildings within the Arts and Culture Center site, scattered among the site's trees, have been turned into art workshops. Working in this kind of environment bolsters the artists' creativity, and with each visit new works of art will be on display.
