Light Hostel Tainan
Great hostel and excellent locationThe value for the money and the location of the hostel, as well as the cleanliness of the place and helpfulness of the staff makes me think that if I am going to Tainan again this would be my destination. They can give you local advice. I loved the fact that you get free slippers and they are eco friendly
Great location and decent price✅Location: 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 On the main road(Hai-An Road) of Tainan city, quite convenient to go anywhere of downtown. ✅Environment: 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 The public area and rooms are clean, but the mattress is not very comfortable(👎🏻), it also make sounds when turning over. ✅Price: 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Weekdays NT$4xx, weekend NT$5xx. ✅Service:👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 The staff is friendly and helpful.
Nice room, convenient location, kind staff.Stayed here for three nights, it was really a great hostel. Convenient location (a taxi from tainan station costs NT$100~), nice service, kindly staff. Room was big and confortable. Some TV shows are available (HBO, Fox Movies etc.). I recommends this place to stay in Tainan.
A hostel with hotel furnishedThe hostel is located at the central of Tainan. Dorm room en-suite furnish like a hotel standard. They provide all the amenities you need as a backpacker. Common area is spacious. Breakfast was incredible! Room and bed are comfy I had a good sleep. Thanks

One of the best places I've stayed at yetI booked a double room for a one-night stay in Tainan and the room completely exceeded my expectations. The location itself was okay but it was also near the Metro though I never used it. Lobby: their Lobby was massive and very decorated and show that they spent a lot of time making sure everything was kept very well. There is no eating in the rooms except for drinking so all food must be in in the lobby and that was totally fine by me because there was so many tables there. every morning between 8 to 10 a.m. there's Breakfast which is a simple toast, spreads and some fruits which was just enough because I was there to eat the local food anyway so as long as I got a little something in my stomach to start my trip that was good enough. Staff: Both the lobby staff were phenomenal and I really want to thank the girl who work there because I had a handful of questions and she was able to answer all of them and since you can only write a taxi and not Uber in Tainan she wrote me Post-it notes to pass on to my taxi driver of where I wanted to go which made it so much easier for this trip especially since I don't speak the local language very well. Rooms: My double rooms located on the 4th floor at the end of the hallway. The room overall was pretty spacious (personally if I can fully open my carry-on extra walking space, that's enough space for me) and the decor was pretty on point for a hostel. The bathroom was massive in the shower room had a door. I was actually blown away by the fact that they had conditioner because what kind of hostel let alone a hotel carries conditioner. I don't know if this is a thing in Taiwan but I noticed that a lot of the places I stayed and did not have hand soap but that's fine because we could just use body soap in place of it. There was also complimentary water as well as toiletries and a massive TV which I didn't use but noticing once again that might be a thing in Taiwan. Each room has individual AC controllers as well as a wireless router so it can be customized to each. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get the Wi-Fi to work but considering I was only staying a night and only at night I didn't make a point to complain but if I had stayed a couple nights I would have reached out to the staff for help. The room required a key card in order to be powered like other hotel rooms but what I liked about this one was it came with a separate card so you don't have to remove the card when you leave the room. Like many other hotels and hostels you have to keep your key card and the staff is off between 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. so you don't need the key card to enter the front door. Laundry: The laundry room is located in the basement floor and I actually had to do laundry that evening. I felt a little bit guilty considering there are dorms look in the basement as well and it appears that the laundry room was 24-hour service so I went ahead anyways. The laundry room requires 5 $10 coins for wash and then another five $10 coins for drying. Overall I will most likely return to this hostel in the future because it was phenomenal.
