"Comfortable stay"It was a good experience. It was fortunate for us that we knew someone in Tainan to tour us around but getting around Tainan seems difficult since their public transportation is not friendly for tourists. The receptionist was kind and helped us get a cab when we left. with clean rooms and bathroom. Although after taking a shower it was wet all over. The breakfast was authentic taiwanese and toast. I missed the toast with peanut butter and jelly and I had coffee. The wifi was fast.

Half Star hotelThis hotel was the first 3 star we checked in. The condition of the room is very poor. It has a very bad odor and the furniture is very dirty. The pictures are very deceiving. We called Agoda to cancel and rebooked Zenda Suite. We lost the first night but it's worth it. We had a bad feeling with our other 3 star hotel in Kaohsiung. I couldn't sleep at that hotel but because all the hotel are full I hadvto stay there the first night. We changed hotel and was charged two night fees. Its worth it. Never booked 3 star hotel in Taiwan because both hotel we checked in were dirty, smelly, unhygienic and both are not livable condition.
it does the jobIt's an old hotel. We had a round bed in our room. :) The bathroom has no shower curtain, so everything is wet after taking a shower. But it's clean and they provide you with everything you need. Breakfast for me, wasn't that good. A lot of chinese food with no explanation of what is was and toast with jam. I found the breakfast room not so clean also. So my breakfast was a frapuccino and a sandwich from Starbucks before I went sightseeing. There's a lot of choice around the hotel for diner. And because there's a university close by and students don't have a lot of money to spend, it's also cheap to go out for dinner. I only payed 25 euro's a night, so you get what you paid for. For me it was good. Before I forget, you have free wifi in your room.
Good valueThis hotel had spacious, clean rooms, with all the basic facilities and even a free breakfast serving a small selection of cooked Chinese food or toast. The TV had English and Japanese channels. Be careful when trying to walk to the property. The English on the sign outside says only "Royal Plaza", and you can't see the street number (318) unless you are on that side of the street. The hotel is walking distance from the station, but it is not a good walk - you may have to cross the rail line and the footpath is poor so not good for wheeling luggage. They have free wifi, but my room on the 5th floor did not get a strong enough signal.
